Villa la Madonnina: INSIDE

The main living/dining room is furnished in the same colorful, eclectic style that characterizes the rest of the house.

The two big vases, original oil paintings and ceramic tiles on the floor give you an immediate feeling of being in an Italian home. The antique dining table can accommodate 12 people for a nice meal.
For an after dinner drink and a nice talk you may want to sit down in the comfortable sitting area fitted with sofas from Gervasoni (see the photo below) - a famous Italian design brand. See and -if windows are open - here the ocean from your seat. You can also play a round of cards or other games at the game table. Decks of cards and some games like chess, backgammon and others you find in the villa. If you have guests you can use the game table to accommodate more people for a meal. A rest room is adjacent to the social area. In front of the living room is the roofed loggia, which leads to the main terrace.

The second living room - the drawing room - is the room we like best. It is very cozy and perfect for an intimate conversation and listening to music. A choice of CD's is available - especially music from Naples - but you may want to bring some of your favorites with you. Satellite TV with stations in different languages is also available. An antique fireplace, wooden models of sailing ships and small windows contribute to the special warm atmosphere of this room. In addition, there is a writing desk with telephone/ fax and the wireless Internet access point.

The spacious kitchen is well equipped with everything necessary to transform the excellent ingredients available at the coast into an wonderful meal. Including an gas stove, an electrical oven, a good set of knifes, an American coffee machine, old fashion Italian cafetieras (different ones for different number of cups of coffee), toaster, mixer, microwave, large fridge and a dish washer. However, I recommend to at least go shopping once by yourself to experience the tiny shop filled with an amazing choice of different items. Fresh fish from the catch of the day can be directly bought from the fishermen in nearby Marina di Praia or from the local fish shop in Praiano. To accommodate your meal, you can choose from the selection of good local wines from our wine cellar (payable at the end of the vacation). In another room close to the kitchen you there is a charcoal grill. The photo gives an impression of the unique, characteristic rock corridor fully carved out of the rock. It leads to all the bedrooms. You may want to pause here for a minute and enjoy the feeling that you are now part of the mountain, inside the earth after you have spent a day in the sun and in the water.

The three bedrooms (one twin and two double) have air condition and are individually furnished. You find paintings of local artists. The sound of the sea will guide you in your sleep. Each bedroom has a separate bathroom with shower, bidet. A baby cot is available at no extra charge. All of the bedrooms and two of the bathrooms have an ocean view. Photos you find below.

For the colder period there is a heating in all rooms.
