GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Villa la Madonnina is set like a diamond in a magnificent location, nestled close to Praiano among the  beautiful inlets of the breathtaking Amalfi coast, a mere nine kilometers from Positano and six  kilometers from Amalfi. Once an ancient fishing village, today Praiano is a charming seaside resort.  It is known for its fine climate and presents itself to the sea as a cascade of white  houses on a green, flowering slope.
The name of the villa La Madonnina derives from a naturally sculpted rock formation located at the back of the villa, which is traditionally believed to represent  the Madonna. The Villa's natural terraces slope down towards  the sea and follows the contours of the rugged coastline like a spectacular ocean balcony. The succession of terraces starts from  the parking area and ends at the sea level private platform. Connecting easy walking paths and steps offer a constant and spectacular view of the seascape and the surrounding coastline.
At sea level, there is a private platform with deck chairs and access to the sea. The 7 x 4 m (22 x  13 ft) swimming pool  is on the same level as the main terrace and is filled with freshwater which is continuously filtered. 
Access to both the pool and sea platform is limited to the two Villas on the large, gated property. A private separate access from each Villa preserves the secluded environment.
Accommodation:  210 m² (2100 ft² - Sleeps 6 persons.)
Villa la Madonnina has all its living spaces on one level.  The Villa's main corridor was carved out of  rock and connects all the rooms like a string of pearls with stunning oceans views. Furniture and fittings were selected with the utmost care down to the tiniest detail. Original paintings and sculptures enhance the natural elegance. Villa la Madonnina has a small wine cellar with a choice of wines optional to our guests.
The living room offers a comfortable seating area, a bridge table and a formal dining area. A large French door leads to a covered terrace, ideal for having breakfast and enjoying  the stunning ocean view or spending  evenings with a glass of red wine dreaming away under the stars. A few steps lead down to the large main terrace. Next to the living room is the spacious, well equipped kitchen which is  accompanied by a charcoal grill in another small room. Also, the living room is connected to a separate drawing room with an antique ceramic fireplace, a writing desk and an entertainment facilities. The rock corridor leads to 2 double and one twin bedrooms, each with private bathrooms with shower. All of the bedrooms have an ocean view. See more pictures in inside. Villa accessories include air condition in all bedrooms, ceiling fans and heating in all rooms, Satellite TV, fax/Internet, stereo/CD player, washing machine and dish-washer.
