Detailed description:

The fine climate of the Amalfi coast invites you to spend your time outside in the fresh air. You have plenty of space to enjoy sunshine, relax in the shade, listen to the sound of the sea and go swimming in the pool or in the ocean. There are two big terraces and a roofed loggia, in total about 240 m² (2400 ft²). This allows every member of the party to find his or her own "refuge".
From the parking lot you reach the villa by walking a few steps down, pass a small garden - then you are on the upper - the hibiscus - terrace, with a marble table and two hanging chairs, perfect for reading your favorite book. Here is also the entrance to the living area which is one floor down.

From the main terrace in front of the villa you have a spectacular view of the sea and the opposite coastline with the ancient tower "Torre a Mare" which was built in the 14 th century as part of the coastal defense system against the Saracens. Today it locates the studio of an artist.

The large main terrace has a dining table and a seating area which are both protected by a roof. Wherever you are, your are sourrounded by the rich green vegetation and flowers on the terrace. Deck chairs invite you to take a sun bath or stay protected from the sun in the shadow. There is also a shower to refresh you at your convenience. 

The loggia is positioned in front of the living room like an eagle's nest. We use to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening here, listening to the sea, observing the lights of Praiano and sharing the adventures of the day. Very romantic! As the loggia is roofed you can even stay outside when it rains.

In the morning you can see the fishermen from nearby Marina di Praia casting their nets to get the catch of the day. Seagulls roam the coast and up in the rocks hawks are looking for their prey. Watch how the colors of the ocean change from turquoise close to the beach to dark blue in the deeper water.

Located on the same level as the main terrace, but separeted by a wall of plants a freshwater swimming pool (10 x 3,5 m, 30 x 11 ft ) invites to take a swim. It is open from April through October. 

Passing under lemon trees an easy path and steps lead down to sea level. There is a private platform with deck chairs and a roof which allows you to stay either in the sunshine or in the shade. From here the refeshing ocean is on step (or jump) away. A freshwater shower is available.

Swimming in the ocean in front of Villa la Madonnina is like swimming in a huge amphitheater surrounded by high cliffs.

If you enjoy snorkling you will be able to see a great variety of Mediterranean fish.

The access to both the pool and the sea platform is limited to the two villas on the property. A private separate access from each Villa preserves the secluded environment.
